What you’ll do
As an I&E Technician at our CO₂-to-acetic acid fermentation plant, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and performance of instrumentation, control systems, and electrical equipment. You will play a key role during both commissioning and ongoing operations, helping to ensure safe, reliable, and optimized plant performance.
Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level)
- Support PLC system commissioning, optimization, and maintenance activities
- Perform installation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical equipment up to 480V (motors, panels, MCCs, VFDs)
- Wire in new equipment (i.e. pumps, VFDs) as needed
- Assist with loop checks, functional testing, and commissioning punch list resolution
- Support development and refinement of I&E maintenance procedures
- Work with engineers to support safe, reliable plant automation and controls
- Maintain documentation of I&E systems, calibrations, and maintenance activities
About you:
- Practical experience with instrumentation and electrical systems in chemical, process, or industrial plant environments
- Familiarity with calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of process instrumentation
- Experience working with PLCs and associated control systems
- Understanding of safe work practices related to electrical systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
